Cyberpunk 2077 Lead Game Designer Andrzej Zawadzki stated that he is leaving CD Projekt RED with an announcement today.

“Almost 8 years later, my time at CDPR is over. It’s time to set sail for new adventures. Thank you so much to everyone I met on the way, it was an honor and a pleasure. See you,” Zawadzki shared in a post on Twitter.

Zawadzki had joined CDPR as a Quality Assurance (QA) tester working on The Witcher 3 – Wild Hunt and its DLCs Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. According to LinkedIn, he was later given the role of “Young Game Designer” in 2016 and started working on Cyberpunk 2077. Zawadzki, who played different roles throughout the development process, was most recently awarded the title of “Senior Game Designer” in March 2020. Before that, he was working as the RPG Coordinator.
As you remember, when the game first came out, there was a flood of reaction in the company, up to death threats. That’s when Andrzej Zawadzki told his followers that the threats were absolutely unacceptable and completely false. It was the person who most seriously responded to this situation from CD Projekt RED. He said, “We are human beings like you.” Now he has not given any justification as to why he left the company, and we do not have any details about the new company he will work with.
